 I had a yummy Vietnamese New Year's dinner (known as Tết) with my Brent, Jay, and Linyee at An Choi in the Lower East Side owned by my friends Tuan Bui & his brother Huy.

On the menu was:

Thit Heo Quay ~ Crispy Suckling Pig

Banh Chun ~ Sticky Rice Cake w/ Mung Bean & Pork Belly 

Ga Rut Xuong ~ Roasted Whole Chicken stuffed with Country Pate & Prosciutto De Parma

Thit Heo Kho ~ Braised Pork Belly in Caramel Sauce

Ca Kho To ~ Salmon Steaks in Caramel Sauce

Do Bien Goi ~ Vietnamese Papaya Salad with Shrimp, Calamari, and Clam

Ca Chua ~ Pickled Leeks & Bitter Greens

Rau Muong Xao ~ Chinese Greens 

Sup Mang Cua ~ Crab Asparagus Soup.

The regular fare at An Choi is one of the best homestyle Vietnamese I have had in NYC. Looking forward to going back for more!
